NAMSC Celebrates its 50th Anniversary in Maine:

Greetings Maple Producers,

It is with great pride that the Maine Maple Producers Association will host the 2009 North American Maple Syrup Council and the International Maple Syrup Institute annual meetings.  This year being more special because the North American Maple Syrup Council, will be celebrating its 50th anniversary with us.

As president of Maine Maple Producers Association, I would like to personally invite all maple producers large and small to this annual meeting at the Atlantic Oakes in Bar Harbor Maine on October 22-25, 2009.  This event promises an excellent trade show with all of the latest technologies available for the maple producer.  It will also host educational technical sessions and business meetings which are extremely informational for you as a maple producer.

The annual meeting will draw maple producers from sixteen U.S. maple producing states and four Canadian Providence's.  Evenings will be filled with great food, entertainment and certainly plenty of sights in beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine.  If this doesn't sound like enough entertainment, sign up for the Tour after the Tour.  This will be a three day bus trip to the Golden Road in the North Woods of Maine.  This will start on Monday October 26th, following the annual meetings.  We will be visiting maple producers that make up the largest maple producing county in the the United States.  So whether you're a regular attendee of this annual meeting or this may be your first one, Maine Maple Producers look forward to seeing you there.

Sincerely,

Lyle Merrifield- President, MMPA
