The Maine Maple Producers Association welcomes you to Maine for the Third annual MAPLE MANIA. The event begins Thursday night, June 13th and continues to Saturday, June 15th with tours, trade show and technical sessions. ALL MEALS ARE INCLUDED in the program from breakfast Friday through lunch on Saturday. The event will be held at Mikes Moose Crossing (GPS address) 766 Main Street, Moose River, Maine 04945.
There will be demonstrations, producer workshops, technical sessions, equipment displays and tours to interest everyone involved in maple, from the backyard producers to the largest producers, packers and wholesalers. These meetings will be a great opportunity to celebrate, learn, meet, eat, have fun and see the latest products developed for the maple industry.
Syrup and Confections Contest
Enter your best pure maple syrup and confections from 2013 in a contest at Maple Mania. Bring a ½ pint sample for each grade entered. All entries must be produced by you in 2013 and become the property of the Maine Maple Producers Association. All syrup will be placed in similar glass containers without labels for judging, and will be on display during the conference.

Sugarhouse Tours 8:00 to 5:00
Several different sugarhouses will welcome conference participants during the day Friday. The operators in this area are primarily bulk producers and manage bushes with 10 to 50 thousand taps. They originate from a variety of areas, including Maine, Quebec, Vermont & Michigan. Maple syrup production in this area has blossomed in the last decade. Come meet the pioneers that made it happen and learn about the attraction to this area. It will become evident that this area is well prepared for continued growth.

Technical Sessions 9:00 to 12:00
Maple Mania will present educational seminars at the nearby Forest Hills School on Saturday morning. The school is located at 606 Main Street in Jackman. The seminars will be conducted by a variety of maple industry professionals and University professors. Topics are expected to include, but are not limited to: Technology in the Sugarbush, Vacuum Systems, Value-Added Products, New England Maple Statistics, Branding & Marketing, and Judging Maple Contests.
